DeepSurfCut is built for session-length, fixed-camera recordings at deep-water standing-wave venues. A clean, consistent view gives the first pass better material to work with.
Lock off one wide shot
Mount the camera so the entry, wave, and fall zone stay in the same place for the full session. Avoid handheld follow shots and frequent reframing.
Keep the full riding zone clear
Frame the complete wave without cropping the rider's entry or fall. Avoid panning, digital zoom, and obstructions between the camera and the riding zone.
Give the camera clean light
DeepSurfCut is designed around high-quality, fixed-camera footage. Strong backlight, low light, glare, and heavy compression can make riders harder to follow.
Review the first pass
The AI pass is editable by design. Check ride boundaries and rider groups, then trim, move, merge, or remove clips before the final handoff.

Is DeepSurfCut for standing waves or ocean surfing?
DeepSurfCut is designed for fixed-camera recordings at deep-water standing-wave venues. Keep the entry, riding zone, and fall area in one steady shot. Handheld follow shots, frequent reframing, and open-ocean footage are outside this intended workflow.
Can I change the automatic edit?
Yes. Review each surfer's rides on an editable timeline, adjust clip boundaries, and correct rider groups before exporting. Choose separate ride clips or a complete rider reel, with the time before and after each ride that you want to keep.
