DeepSurfCut support
Better footage in.
Better rides out.
DeepSurfCut is built for fixed-camera standing-wave surfing recordings. These basics help the first pass work at its best.
Record from a fixed position
Mount the camera so the riding, entry, and exit areas stay in the same regions throughout the session. Avoid panning, handheld follow shots, and frequent reframing.
Keep the full riding zone visible
Frame the complete wave and avoid cutting off the entry or fall zone. Clear separation between the rider and people waiting nearby improves detection.
Use clear, well-lit footage
DeepSurfCut is designed around high-quality iPhone Pro footage. Strong backlight, darkness, heavy digital zoom, and severe obstruction can reduce result quality.
Review before exporting
AI results are intentionally editable. Check clip boundaries and surfer groups, then trim, move, merge, or remove clips before creating the final export.
Supported workflow
- Import MOV and MP4 session recordings.
- Analyze fixed-camera standing-wave surfing footage.
- Review surfer cards and multitrack timeline results.
- Save and reopen DeepSurfCut projects.
- Export selected surfers as separate clips or combined reels.
Platforms
DeepSurfCut is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The Mac version remains in development. See the App Store product page for current operating system and device compatibility.
