Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the DeepSurfCut app and website.

DeepSurfCut distributed through the App Store is licensed under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add product-specific information and do not replace rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

1. The service

DeepSurfCut is an on-device video review and clipping tool for fixed-camera standing-wave surfing footage. It can detect candidate rides, group clips by surfer, provide timeline editing tools, and export user-selected results.

2. Your media and permissions

You retain ownership of your source videos, project files, and exports. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to process, edit, and share the media you select, including any footage depicting other people.

3. AI-assisted results

Detection and surfer grouping are automated aids and may contain missed rides, false detections, incorrect grouping, or inaccurate clip boundaries. You are responsible for reviewing the timeline and exported media. DeepSurfCut is not a safety system, competition judging system, identity verification service, or substitute for professional editorial review.

4. Intended footage

The app is optimized for standing-wave surfing sessions recorded from a stable, fixed camera position. Results may be materially worse with moving cameras, open-ocean footage, drone video, severe occlusion, poor lighting, or unsupported devices and formats.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Any paid access offered in the app is purchased and managed through Apple. Prices, duration, trial or offer eligibility, renewal details, and included features are displayed before purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions continue until cancelled through your Apple Account settings. Features and pricing may vary by country or region.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use DeepSurfCut to:

  • Process or distribute media in violation of privacy, publicity, or copyright law.
  • Harass, exploit, impersonate, or unlawfully profile another person.
  • Interfere with the app, bypass purchase controls, or redistribute the app.
  • Use exported results in a deceptive way or represent AI output as guaranteed.

7. Availability and changes

We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Device compatibility, supported media formats, and model behavior can change between versions. Where a paid subscription is active, access will be handled consistently with App Store requirements and applicable law.

8. Warranty and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeepSurfCut is provided without a guarantee that every ride, surfer, or edit will be detected correctly. You should retain original footage and verify exports before deleting source media or relying on the output for an event, customer delivery, or other important purpose.

9. Contact
